                         An expert team of the Communist Party of China held talks with senior officials of the EPRDF on December 8, 2010 at the Secretariat of the EPRDF.

At the discussion were present EPRDF Secretariat Head Ato Redwan Hussien, EPRDF Foreign Relations Sector Head Ato Temesgen Tilahun and EPRDF Training Sector Head Ato Mengisteab G.Kidan on the Ethiopian side, and a five-person delegation headed by Mr. Wang Hua, Director General of International Relations of the Central Committee of CPC.
Secretariat Head Ato Redwan Hussien briefed the delegation extensively on the challenges and opportunities of democracy in Ethiopia, the role EPRDF played in ensuring peace, stability, democracy and development, and the achievements registered by the party in education, health and infrastructure building.

He also pointed out that democracy and development are crucial to the very existence of the country, further elaborating on works undertaken to eradicate poverty and the gains as well as other related issues.

The Director General of International Relations of the Central Committee of CPC, Mr. Wang, on his part thanked the Ethiopian side for the briefing and affirmed that the strong relation between the two parties would continue.
